  • Janelle Kanteluk

    Registered Social Worker
    B.S.W., R.S.W., CC-PMH

Hi, I’m Janelle, a Registered Social Worker, and I have a particular interest in supporting individuals during the perinatal period and adolescence, stages of life that often involve significant emotional shifts, identity changes, and grief around how things were “supposed” to feel.

I offer counselling for a range of concerns, including:

~ Pregnancy, postpartum, parenting transitions, and perinatal grief and loss

~ Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm

~ Trauma and complex life experiences

    ~ Adolescence and identity development

    ~ Family and relational stress

~ Neurodevelopmental differences and emotional regulation challenges

As a mother of two who has navigated the transition into parenthood, I bring both lived experience and specialized perinatal mental health training into our work together.

My approach to counselling is relational, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I believe emotional distress makes sense within the context of your life, relationships, and broader systems. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where you feel understood, respected, and safe enough to explore what you’re carrying.

I integrate evidence-informed approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

Finding the right therapist matters. If you’re navigating pregnancy, postpartum, parenting stress, adolescence, or a major life transition, I invite you to reach out and see if we’re a good fit.
